The author, Dr Frances Willmoth, spent the earlier part of her career studying the life of John Flamsteed and his patron Jonas Moore, and editing Flamsteed’s correspondence for publication (3 vols, 1995-2001).
More recently she began to wonder whether she could make use of some of this material in a way that would be more fun for the general reader, and Astronomouse is the result.
